I'm Extreme?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
I have been called an "Extremist" three time's in the past 6months!
SubhnAllah. And worst of all they were all Muslims! It really shows the influence of the Kuffar and the way society as a whole has effected our mindset. So here are the reasons why I got called that...

1, I looked more deeply into the history of Valentines Day and found out its origins are from a disgusting pagan ritual =0. And I didn't want to practice such a holiday. Even though it completely s transformed over the centuries from what it used to be. I still find no point, it's just a way for hallmark and companies to take advantage of people's "love". && If you truly love someone show them that everyday not just take them out one day out of the year lol.

Their Response, "I think this is too extreme everyone needs to stop over thinking everything. If I'm going look at the history behind everything i enjoy its just going to depress me. no thank"

2, I was talking to my friend about wearing the Niqab and what they they about it. While differant schools of thought differ on whether its "Wajib" or optional. I think its optional and a act of worship to get closer to Allah. And If you feel like there's still fitna when you wear the Hijab and you want to protect your modesty than it's very encourage to wear it. [ I don't wear niqab but just my opinion about it (: maybe one day.]

Their Response, "That's too extreme, just wear a long shirt and loose fitting pants. Not the kind your drowning in but that looks good and fits properly. And In places like Yemen it's more of a cultural thing, women wear the niqab because everyone else does. As soon as they get on the airplane they take it off =0!!!

"Diseases of the Hearts and their Cures"

سم الله الرحمن الرحيمسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
I noticed people recently becoming more active in the Masjids and MSAs (Alhamdulillah). But it brings me great distress to see the state in which the Muslims are in now. Can I ask; What benefit is a good deed without the correct intention? Where does culture fit in to Islam? And will you continue to follow society/culture when it clearly goes against the Quran and Sunnah? Verily, black and white are not alike. So why do you combine them and create distress upon your heart?

Do you suffer from jealousy, a broken heart (from someone who isn’t your spouse), hate, envy or gossip? If one or all of these apply to you than the problem lies within your imaan, renew it. Those things are what the Kuffar suffer from not the Mum'in. If you believe in Allah and you believe death is indeed a reality…reevaluate your life. Why do you not contemplate your purpose in this Dunya? Why do you try to fit in and copy the Kuffir? Have you learned the lessons or are you repeating the cycles? Do you know how it feels to restrain from desires? Freedom is all that comes to my mind. Those habits you loved were secretly at war with you for so long. They taunted and oppressed you. While what you turn away from is the only thing that enables you to achieve true success. Why do you accept a water down religion? Following what you like and disregarding the rest. Where have your manners gone? Is it not sheer hypocrisy you act one way in the Masjid and the opposite outside of it? And I wonder If the Prophet (Salallahu ‘alayhi wa salam) was in front of you how you, how would you act? I bet you would rethink those clothes, attitude and those friends. So why is it you disobey Allah when you know He is All-Knowing and All-Aware. Does it not bring shame upon your face?

Suffering from these diseases of the heart are normal but you have to correct it! Don’t be of those who are heedless and turn those faults into habits. "We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret". No one is perfect, Allah says the best of you are the ones who commit sins but come back to Allah with the purest of intentions.
Remember Brothers and Sisters this life is nothing but a deceiving enjoyment. Do not let the distractions of this life misguide you and lead you into blundering darkness. The Knowledge of the Deen brings light upon light into your hearts.

Ibn Abbas (radiallahu anhuma) recited the statement of Allah:
If there comes to you from Me, guidance, than whoever follows My guidance, than he will not go astray neither will he be grieved. And as for the one who turns away from My guidance, then verily to him is an unpleasant life and We will raise him of the Day of Judgment blind. He will say: “O my Lord! Why have you raised me blind when verily I was a seeing person in the dunya? He will be answered: “Indeed there came to you my signs and you forgot them, so today you will be forgotten. “

-From that what is apparent from the Ayah is that it refers to the individual who received the guidance and than let the guidance go. SubhanAllah, notice this isn’t a Mushrikin but someone who embraced Islam. This is always and foremost a reminder to myself before anyone else. Diseases of the heart transcends religion, race, ethnicity ect, ect. It isn's exclusive to one type of group, community, people and so on. The Importance of this note, is not about the one who suffers from these diseases but to acknowledge them with the Remembrence of Allah.
