  1. Assalaamu'alaikum sis.

That's why I like the Bloglist/blogroll thing where you can see people's updates! :D

Don't worry about leaving blogger. If you feel more comfortable there than that should be your own choice. But if you're like me and always trying to maintain the uniqueness of your blog, its cool to stay. Both have their ups and downs. If you think that you're having trouble with keeping your followers up to date with your blogs, just notify us and inshaAllah we could post up about your new blog on wordpress.

  2. Wa Alakyam Salam Waramtuallahi Wabarakatuh,

=)=) I'm definitely staying, inshAllah I'll do my best to handle both of them! MashAllah bro I love your layout by the way! And I was meaning to ask you how did you do add the columns on top like the contact list, guest book and all the other ones?? If I could do something like that on blogger I wouldn't have made the other one on that blog site.

I agree, they both have their good and their bad. Why can't they just combine one that has everything :/!?

&& JazakAllah khair, thanks akhi I appreciate it!

  3. I'm sorry for being late to reply to this. I think I might need to make a post explaining about how to do the pages, inshaAllah. And the good thing about labels on blogger is that people can either subscribe to all your posts, or just subscribe to posts according to the label they like. That would need another post to cover, inshaAllah.

If you want to make different pages, its as easy as posting. Thats all. Just make a new post, give it a very very old date and the name of the page should be the topic of the post. Don't give it any labels. Once you've done that, try to get the permalink (permanent link) of that post you made.

For example, you might want to make an "About Me" page.

    1) First, make a new post and give it a title, "About Me". Then write whatever you want to tell people about yourself in that post. Don't give it a label and remember to give it a very old publish date and publish it.

    2) Second, go to "Edit Posts" to see all the posts you have made. Look for your "About Me" post and copy its URL. All posts have their own URL, a.k.a Permalink. Example, for this post that you made, the permalink of it is http://mariumaa19.blogspot.com/2009/06/update-moving-to-wordpress.html .

    3) Thirdly, Add a html/javascript widget to your blog.

    4) In that widget, type in "About Me" then make a link to those words. In case you're not sure how to do that part, see my tutorial. http://www.siradib.com/2009/04/all-about-links.html

    5) Save the widget then drag the widget to wherever you want it to be seen. That's enough for making a page.

If you want to make another page, repeat steps 1 and 2, then edit the same widget, then repeat steps 4 and 5.

Please keep asking if you're still unsure how to do it.

  4. Assalam Alaikom ukhti,

I like wordpress too lol =D. You know, you were going to create a second blog anyway so it doesn't matter that you made it a wordpress blog. You could continue with this one the way it is, and then in lifeoftheheart, you could do sahabah stories and hadith =)

Lifeoftheheart is such a beautiful name, btw. <3

I'm sure you'll be able to handle both blogs, inshAllah. Either way, we're here for you =D May Allah reward you for all the effort you put into Islam.

  5. Asalamu Alakyam =))!

Adib, Wow MashAllah!! How did you figure that all out? JazakAllah khair, thank you so much! I agree I think you should make that a post, so it could benefit everyone. I'll definitely try to update my blog this week. InshAllah, see If I can get it right lol! Expect some more questions from me soon :). May Allah reward you for your effort and for all your help! Ameen.

Sister Asmi!! Aww thank you <33, glad you like it Al-hamdulilah. I was just thinking of that, adding both Hadith and Sahabah Stories. I really do need to make time so I could do another Seerah of a Sahabah. MashAllah there stories are so inspiring!

  6. I did a lot of research on google and many tutorial websites. Blogger can be as good as Wordpress if you're a master at tweaking your own css/html/javascripts. I mean I just had to research a lot after buying a domain name which shows how serious I am with my blog.
